Provider Selection Regime: We reflect on the first year of PSR
A year after the Provider Selection Regime came into force, it's a good time to reflect on what we and our clients have seen and learnt over the last 12 months.
The routes available for direct award of contracts have proved useful to some, but raise questions around how to undertake the necessary analysis of providers. Disgruntled suppliers have embraced the low-cost route to challenge the award of a relevant contract and our lawyers have advised in relation to review by the Independent Patient Choice and Procurement Panel.
This session is essential for NHS Trusts, ICBs, and Local Authorities to ensure that they can take advantage of the more flexible opportunities under the PSR, without increasing the risk of challenge.
