This is the third in a series of four webinars and provides an overview and discussion of the ensuring accountability and enhancing public confidence proposals section of the white paper, looking at the framework for oversight of the health system and workforce accountability; proposed changes to the NHS mandate and broadening the scope for potential ministerial interventions in reconfigurations, Arm’s Length bodies and Special Health Authorities time limits.
It was an opportunity to share thoughts on any practical implications which may arise out of the proposals.
The session was chaired by Sir Neil McKay, Strategic Consultant for Browne Jacobson, who has a long and distinguished career in senior leadership positions in the NHS in England.
