Browne Jacobson wins hattrick of awards at East Midlands Rainmakers Awards

UK & Ireland law firm Browne Jacobson has won a hattrick of awards at the inaugural East Midlands Rainmakers Awards, which underlines the firm’s credentials as a leading force in the region.

The firm scooped Legal Team of the Year, Private Equity Exit of the Year for its role advising YFM Equity Partners on its exit from database managed services provider DSP and sale to LDC,and Deal of the Year (£10m-£50m) for advising LDC on its investment into Integrated Doorset Solutions.

The East Midlands Rainmaker Awards celebrate the best deals and teams in the past year, as voted for by the corporate finance community in a one firm, one vote system.

The Awards follow a year of continued successes for the firm’s expanding corporate team, including key partner appointments across UK & Ireland which have driven momentum in the firm advising on larger, more complex strategic transactions in addition to cross-border deals. The team was shortlisted for 12 deals, and corporate partners Nigel Blackwell and Matt Bolton were shortlisted for Rainmaker of the Year and Rising Star of the Year.

This year has also seen a series of significant international transactions for the firm’s corporate team, including global digital transformation services provider Bluprintx’s acquisition of US-based e-commerce consultancy ITG Commerce, and IT and cyber services provider Littlefish’s acquisition of technology consultancy Storm Technology based in Ireland.
