Browne Jacobson achieves record rankings across full service offering

UK & Ireland law firm Browne Jacobson has secured its strongest ever performance in the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners rankings, demonstrating excellence across both private and public sector work, while making significant inroads into key corporate markets.

The firm has achieved 27 Tier 1 rankings in Legal 500, spanning both public and private sector expertise. Notable achievements include the firm's first entry into Legal 500's London Private Equity transactions rankings (Tier 5, mid-market deals up to £500m), advancement to Tier 2 in Legal 500 London Retail and Consumer, new Chambers rankings for Corporate practice in the North West, and enhanced public sector recognition with a new Tier 2 ranking in Legal 500 Wales Public Sector.

Key developments across practice areas include:

  • New Corporate and Real Estate rankings in Chambers North West
  • Elevation to Tier 1 in Legal 500 East Midlands Agriculture and Estates
  • Promotion to Band 2 for Chambers Midlands Restructuring
  • Progress to Tier 2 in Legal 500 South West Health

These rankings reflect Browne Jacobson's exceptional year of growth, marked by:

  • 12% increase in year-on-year turnover
  • Record revenues exceeding £118m
  • More than doubled turnover in the past decade (from £50m in 2014)
  • Strategic expansion including the acquisition of a leading technology and commercial team from EY Law
