Browne Jacobson shortlisted as Legal Adviser of the Year at the Real Deals Private Equity Awards 2025

17 January 2025

UK & Ireland law firm Browne Jacobson’s award-winning private equity team has been shortlisted in the Legal Adviser of the Year – National/Regional category at the Real Deals Private Equity Awards 2025.

Over the last 25 years, the Real Deals Private Equity Awards have grown into the most well-established and most prestigious private equity awards in Europe. The Awards recognise Europe’s very best private equity transactions, firms and advisers, with this year’s ceremony being held on 3 April 2025 at JW Marriott Grosvenor House, London.

The shortlisting is a testament of the team’s continued successes throughout 2024, including more than 20% growth in the number of private equity deals completed compared to the previous year, an increased focus on international deals and the appointment of five private equity partners to the firm across London, Manchester, Dublin and Cardiff. Transactional highlights in the past year have included advising LDC on its disposal of recruitment services provider The Edwin Group to US-based Quad Partners LLC, advising Apiary Capital on its exit from TAG and coordinating two global acquisitions for One Equity Partners backed MSQ of US media agency SPCSHP, and German media agency United Digital Group.

This year’s nomination follows the firm’s previous commendations at the Real Deals Private Equity Awards, with Browne Jacobson winning the Regional Adviser of the Year category in 2023.

Gareth Davies, Private Equity Partner at Browne Jacobson, said: “Our private equity team is thrilled to once again be recognised in this year’s shortlisting after a standout year for the firm.

“We have strategically hired five experienced partners into our London, Dublin, Cardiff and Manchester teams, which not only amplified our expertise, but also broadened our capacity to deliver unparalleled service to clients across the UK and Ireland on an increasing number of complex and cross-jurisdictional transactions. We wish all nominees the best of luck.”

Browne Jacobson’s private equity team has extensive experience advising on a wide range of complex UK and cross-border, mid-market private equity transactions, including management advisory. The team has broad sector coverage, including retail and consumer, real estate and construction, manufacturing and industrials, energy and infrastructure, and technology.
