Browne Jacobson’s corporate finance team has triumphed at the Insider East Midlands Dealmakers Awards 2023, winning an impressive array of accolades, including the coveted ‘Corporate Law Firm of the Year’ for the second year in a row.
According to the judges it was a year in which the firm ‘appears to have a role in every significant deal in the East Midlands... Browne Jacobson popped up everywhere – Next's rescue deal for Joules, the £14m IBO of PermaGroup – just two standout transactions’.
In addition, Sandra Wong was named ‘Dealmaker of the Year’ in recognition of her role on ‘a string of major transactions over the past eight years including Addo, Bridge Farm Nurseries, Care Fertility and Littlefish’. It followed her success at last year’s awards when she was named ‘Emerging Dealmaker of the Year’.
The UK & Ireland law firm were also recognised for their work on a number of award-winning transactions that reinforces Browne Jacobson’s deep-rooted corporate dealmaking expertise and specialist sector knowledge and the team’s innovative approach to complex transactions. These included the secondary buyout of Littlefish to Bowmark Capital from LDC and management which won the Deal of the Year £10m+ category and the management buyout of Swann Systems which was named Deal of the Year – Under £10m.
The Insider East Midlands Dealmakers Awards celebrate the region's most exceptional professionals and organisations involved in dealmaking, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate finance. The event took place last night (Thursday 25 May) at The Nottingham Belfry Hotel.
