UK & Ireland law firm Browne Jacobson advises global provider of intelligence and investigation software, Altia, on its acquisition of Aquila Intelligence Solutions Ltd (Aquila), a digital intelligence investigation solution that supports and simplifies investigations.
This is Altia’s fourth acquisition since 2020 and showcases its intentions to broaden its proposition in the market.
Altia is a leading provider of specialist intelligence and investigation software. It supports police forces and investigation teams to automate processes using technology, reducing time and money spent on investigations and improving prosecution rates.
The Browne Jacobson team was led by private equity partner, Gareth Davies, and senior associate, Matt Dorman, who were supported by specialist lawyers across the firm.
Private Equity Partner, Gareth Davies said: “Altia’s acquisition of Aquila signals its intent to expand its offerings in the digital evidence domain. It also represents its commitment to pioneering software that transforms the way the public and private sectors tackle investigations. We are delighted to have played a role in this acquisition and eagerly anticipate witnessing Altia's ongoing growth and prosperity."
Rob Sinclair, CEO of Altia, said: “We want to continue to create cutting-edge software that will transform the way the public and private sector tackle investigations. The addition to the team of Lauren as Chief Financial Officer and James as Chief Revenue Officer, alongside the acquisition of Aquila, supports us toward these ambitious plans, and helps us expand the Altia proposition further into the digital evidence market space.”
