Regeneration and infrastructure projects in the UK commonly involve public funding, public land or both. This triggers the UK's subsidy control regime which, if not navigated correctly, can delay or open projects to legal challenge. Many authorities, developers and contractors struggle with this new regime, particularly the statutory subsidy principle assessment process.
In this session we will flag the common features of these projects which subsidy control applies to, discuss tips and workarounds and hear from market leading experts on how to complete a compliant subsidy principle assessment.
We will be joined by Sadie Janes, a Director at Savills, Joint Head of Birmingham Development and Co-lead of Savills Education. She has 19 years experience across the Midlands property market. Sadie specialises in urban regeneration and strategies to unlock complex mixed use schemes on behalf of a range of public sector and education clients.
Our in-person and online events are designed exclusively for clients and targets. As such, we reserve the right to cancel bookings. If you’d like to speak to a member of the team regarding your attendance, please contact us.
