Browne Jacobson has been recognised as one of the UK’s leading law firms with its ranking in The Times “Best Law Firms 2023”. This is the fifth year that Browne Jacobson has been ranked.
The Times and independent market-research company Statista conducted surveys among thousands of lawyers and used their responses to identify the leading 250 legal practices in England and Wales, and the top 40 in Scotland.
In this year’s rankings the firm was commended for its expertise in administrative and public law, commercial property, education, personal injury, and clinical negligence.
Work highlights included the firm’s role as sole legal adviser to the Independent Monitoring Authority for the Citizens’ Rights Agreements which was set up to protect the rights of EU and EEA EFTA citizens and their family members in the UK and Gibraltar and advising a consortium of school trusts on their successful bid via a joint venture for the Department for Education’s Institute of Teaching tender. The contract provided more than £120 million of funding. The firm’s commitment to improving social mobility in the legal profession was also praised following the launch of FAIRE (Fairer Access Into Real Experience), a mentoring scheme to promote black lawyers into the profession and being accredited as a living wage employer.
The full 2023 rankings have been published in The Times paper, as is available on its digital platform.
