Will specialises in clinical negligence defence work and resolving claims, acting on behalf of NHS Resolution, NHS Trusts, and other private insurers and commercial organisations. He runs a mixed high value complex case portfolio, dealing with spinal injury, brain injury, birth injury, wrongful birth, and amputation claims. In addition, he manages a team of experienced clinical negligence solicitors.

As an expert litigator and risk assessor, when managing claims, Will’s focus is on early and fair resolution using ADR and innovative approaches to achieve client goals. He expertly guides defendants through the clinical negligence process, going above and beyond to support witnesses and staff members (the ‘second victims’).

In addition to his case work, Will regularly delivers training on complex quantum and other topics to defence organisations, NHS Trusts, and other solicitors. He also contributes to national risk management initiatives for the NHS. One such example is the ‘Getting It Right First Time’ (GIRFT) initiative, for which he continues to provide claims and risk management data analysis and advice on draft national guidelines.
