Katie Viggers

Katie specialises in healthcare law. She has extensive experience advising NHS and private sector organisations on mental health and mental capacity law and representing healthcare organisations at inquests. Katie was previously the Head of Legal Services for a mental health and learning disabilities NHS Trust and is an experienced healthcare law trainer.

Katie joined Browne Jacobson in 2023 as a Professional Development Lawyer. She now uses her knowledge and skill to support the health advisory and litigation team in areas such as client training, knowledge products, legal insights, policy consultations, learning and development and know-how. Katie continues to train healthcare organisations on issues such as complaints handling and duty of candour.

Katie also contributed to “Law and Ethics for Paramedics” (3rd edition) and co-authored a chapter on Inquests.
