Browne Jacobson return to UKREiiF 2025

03 April 2025

Our team is returning to the UK's Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF) this year, hosting sessions on future workforce and skills, and technology and innovation.

Future workforce and skills

Date: Tuesday 20 May 2025
Time: 3:15 PM - 4:15 PM
Location: Rethinking Places Pavilion

Gabor Taller, Partner and head of our social housing practice, will be hosting a session titled 'Plugging the skills gap now for the built environment of the future'.

As joint first Social Mobility Employer Index winners, we're proud to bring together our experts across sectors to discuss this crucial topic: how to tackle the current construction skills gap to meet the Government’s “Plan for Change” ambitions and – more widely - how can we develop the skills needed for the built environment of the future considering the rapid pace of technological advancements.

Gabor said:

“This issue is resonating with so many of our clients across a range of sectors. It is particularly timely in the context of the Government’s “Plan for Change” ambitions. I’m excited to hear from such a high calibre panel and to create a great opportunity for collaborative discussion in the networking drinks we are hosting following the session."

Technology and innovation session

Date: Wednesday 21 May 2025
Time: 3:30 PM (registration) - 5:15 PM (end of panel session), followed by drinks and networking
Location: BDO LLP, Central Square, 29 Wellington StLS1 4DL, Leeds

Gavin Hoccom, Partner and head of our construction team in Wales, will be hosting a fringe session on digital innovation and technology titled 'From vision to value: Building a successful AI / digital strategy in real estate & construction'.

This session will explore a cross-sector panel’s lived experience of developing and integrating AI and digital strategies in real estate and construction to drive innovation, enhance efficiency, reduce costs.

Gavin said:

“It’s a pleasure to have the opportunity to convene and co-chair this forward-thinking and practical session on AI and digital, which aims to support built environment stakeholders to develop a vision for digital transformation regardless of their role within the sector, and to take away key points to look out for on the digital transformation journey in order to unlock real value.”
