With the fast pace of legal and regulatory changes, Browne Jacobson is launching its ‘In-house for intermediaries’ service for brokers and MGAs.

For an agreed monthly fee, the new service provides intermediaries with instant access to its team specialists who can advise on compliance and legal issues, including:

  • Regulatory and compliance issues and advice
  • Commercial contracts such as TOBAs, binders and AR agreements
  • Data protection
  • Advertising, marketing and intellectual property
  • Employment, including compliance with SMCR

The service provides a cost-effective and easy-to-use solution for intermediaries that need regular advice across a range of compliance and legal issues.  As a national full-service commercial law firm with deep knowledge of the insurance market, Browne Jacobson is perfectly placed to provide joined-up advice that takes account of the regulatory landscape in which intermediaries operate.

Tim Johnson, commercial insurance partner at Browne Jacobson, said:

“The last few years have seen a great deal of change for brokers and other intermediaries to deal with. The pace of change shows little sign of slowing down and for many it can be a legal minefield.

“Intermediaries often find that law firms have either a strong insurance pedigree but do not have a full commercial offering, or vice versa.  At Browne Jacobson we have both, and we have a wealth of experience advising intermediaries on a full range of legal and commercial issues.”

Browne Jacobson acts for a large number of intermediaries, from smaller specialist firms to international, national and large regional practices and is recommended by leading broker networks to their members as a 'go-to' firm.
