Olivia Barrow

Olivia joined Browne Jacobson as a paralegal in January 2020 in the Health Advisory and Litigation (“HAL”) team. Olivia’s responsibilities included supporting the team with a variety of Inquest and Court of Protection matters. Olivia worked closely with Victoria Colclough to assist with running Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) cases.

In 2021, Olivia commenced her training contract with the firm and undertook her first seat in the HAL team. During this time Olivia undertook a secondment to an NHS trust and provided support with a wide range of matters including clinical negligence, inquest, and disclosures for police and family cases.

Olivia’s second seat was in the employment team where she continued to develop an understanding of contentious litigation work. Olivia had the opportunity to sit in on various tribunal hearings and develop professional relationships with other TMGs across the firm. During Olivia’s employment seat she gained experience in non-contentious work through providing support to the corporate team and being involved in various due diligence exercises. Olivia is currently a trainee solicitor in the corporate Manchester team and is excited to learn more about transactional work.
