Maya Ravindran

Maya is a Solicitor Advocate in the inquest and advisory team. She acts on behalf of the full spectrum of NHS Trusts and private healthcare organisations. She advocates at Inquests involving complex medical issues and at jury Inquests where a patient is detained under the Mental Health Act or in a custodial setting.

Maya has previously been seconded to an ambulance service NHS Trust and has provided training to NHS clients through workshops, mock inquests and seminars. She works closely with NHS Trusts and healthcare providers at governance level to learn from deaths, mitigate against risks and provide the best possible outcome at Inquest.

Prior to specialising in healthcare, Maya previously worked as a criminal defence solicitor and in this time attained recognised accreditations for representing clients at the police station at interviews under caution and at the Magistrates’ Court. Maya also has extensive experience in representing companies and individuals across a range of industries being investigated for and charged with health and safety offences, usually involving a fatality.
