Kate Westley

Kate is a Senior Associate in the specialist Adult Neurological Injuries team, which is part of the wider Health and Advisory Litigation team. Kate specialises in defending adult spinal cord and brain injury claims on behalf of NHS health care providers, individual clinicians (including GPs) and insurers.

Kate has over 10 years’ experience in representing NHS Trusts and individual clinicians during which she has built up extensive knowledge of the practice area, providing expert commercial advice on resolving claims promptly and fairly. Kate has also successfully defended cases at Trial.

Kate has represented NHS Trusts at Inquests and undertaken several key client secondments. Kate has provided training to clinicians, healthcare providers and claims handlers on various topics including consent and specific issues on spinal and adult neurology cases.
