Harriett is part of the firm’s first externally appointed solicitor apprentice cohort after finishing full time education last year. Acknowledged not only as a standalone fee earner, but also as an integral key assistant to senior fee earners, Harriett assists with research and progresses residential real estate transactions from initial enquiry and quotation stage all the way to post completion. Harriett is also assisting with commercial landlord and tenant and acquisition work which she is enjoying. She is a valued and important member of our property team and is an excellent communicator and enjoys being client-facing.
Seeking key legal experience and zero student debt, Harriett joined the firm as a solicitor apprentice in 2022 and was selected from over 200 applicants for the role. Whilst working as a legal assistant within the real estate department, Harriett is studying for her Law Degree at University and will qualify as a solicitor through the SQE exams at the age of 24.
Having first learned about Browne Jacobson through the FAIRE (Fairer Access into Real Experience) scheme, Harriett has continued to represent the firm’s drive for social mobility through volunteering. From presenting to over 1,000 people at a Young Professionals webinar during National Apprenticeship Week to reading with secondary school children at schools in Nottinghamshire as part of the National Literacy Trust’s ‘Words for Work’ scheme.
