Duncan is a Legal Director in the commercial digital and sourcing team in London. He is an experienced technology, IT and commercial lawyer who specialises in drafting and negotiating complex outsourcing, technology and strategic commercial contracts. Duncan has extensive experience across a range of sectors, most notably in financial services, insurance, media and technology.
Duncan provides clear and pragmatic advice on complex issues, helping clients to achieve their business and commercial objectives whilst mitigating against compliance risks.
Duncan advises on a wide range of technology, commercial, joint venture and sourcing transactions. He specialises in drafting, negotiating and managing complex contracts, assessing contracts for compliance with applicable laws and company policies and guidelines, supply chain optimisation and cost reduction programmes, operational risk and compliance (with a particular focus on UK and European financial services operational resilience laws and regulations), as well as M&A and corporate carve-outs.
Duncan’s prior experience includes working as a corporate M&A lawyer at a leading global law firm as well as in-house commercial counsel at Thomson Reuters and Sky which involved advising on significant commercial transactions, providing practical advice to key business stakeholders and helping to inform commercial and strategic policy.
