Browne Jacobson’s real estate lawyers have advised longstanding client, Birmingham City Council on its acquisition of 70,000 sq ft building, 9 Colmore Row, located in the heart of Birmingham’s central business district.
The Council purchased the building from UK Commercial Property REIT (UKCM) for a consideration of £26.4m.
The prominent building provides prime location blended office and retail space and is part of the ‘Area of Transformation” which forms part of the Snow Hill redevelopment Masterplan which aims to reinforce the City’s existing position as the leading office market.
The deal will support the long-term strategy for the City of Birmingham, including job creation, investment and economic growth.
