Former Managing Partner launches specialist C-suite exec level coaching service with Browne Jacobson
This new executive coaching programme offers support to business leaders to ensure that they are working to the best of their abilities.
National law firm Browne Jacobson has launched Space + Time, a brand new dedicated executive coaching programme which offers support to c-suite level business leaders to ensure that they are working to the best of their abilities, covering issues such as leadership, prioritisation, horizon scanning and key decision making.
The programme, which is run in partnership with consultancy firm 10Eighty, has been developed by Browne Jacobson’s former managing partner turned consultant, Iain Blatherwick. Iain spent 11 years, between 2009 – 2020, successfully leading the business through a period of unprecedented growth and key expansion.
Space + Time is supported by a team of expert coaches including former Browne Jacobson partner turned consultant, Susan Mabbott. There is further expansion on the horizon for the team with the firm investing in the training and development of more members of the business to qualify in a formal coach capacity from September.
The programme is targeted across various business sectors including law, accountancy, professional services, public sector organisations, family business and SME’s. Throughout the programme, participants will be encouraged to reflect on their performance, priorities and development needs.
Iain Blatherwick commented:
“We are excited to be able to formally open the Space + Time coaching service out to our clients and welcome new clients through our partnership with 10Eighty. “The Space + Time coaching programme goes beyond providing clients with the right legal advice. It allows the firm’s coaching team to really get under the skin of the key issues that some of our clients are facing when running a business.
“I am all too aware of the huge responsibilities and pressures faced by business leaders and the significance of being allowed space and time away to think and be creative when it comes to decision making. It is essential that business leaders retain the energy, passion and enthusiasm needed for such a demanding role.
“Coaching is a very powerful tool which can really help people achieve their full potential. I would advocate any leader, at the start of their journey or perhaps in a more established position, to consider it.”
Graham Feek, Deputy Chief Executive, Greenwood Academy Trust, added:
“I was really pleased to have the opportunity to work with Iain, who is well respected in the market for his experience as a successful business leader. The sessions were a real eye opener and gave me valuable food for thought.”
Michael Moran, Chief Executive and Founder of 10Eighty said:
“I am delighted that 10Eighty has formed a partnership with Browne Jacobson and with Iain Blatherwick. It was apparent from our earliest conversations that we share the same values, and passionately believe in the power of coaching to help improve the performance of both people and organisations. We are excited to see how the partnership will flourish.”
Richard Medd, Browne Jacobson Managing Partner, added:
“Iain’s previous role at the firm means he has real insight into governance and leadership issues within a large established organisation and understands the responsibility, the pressures and the loneliness that such a high-level position can bring so he is absolutely the right person to lead on this offering to our clients.
“Browne Jacobson encourages anyone who has decided to step down from a senior role within the firm to explore other opportunities for further development and make use of their past experiences, so I am pleased that Iain has decided to continue his journey with us.”
