Browne Jacobson’s North West corporate finance team is celebrating after one of its deals won the ‘Deal of the Year (sub £10m)’ at the North West Dealmakers Awards 2020.
The award winning transaction was the Business Growth Fund’s investment in A Wilderness Way Limited (AWW) which the firm’s Manchester corporate finance team advised AWW, its shareholders and its management team on. The deal was led by partner, Peter Allen, Senior Associate Ryan Brown and Associate Bethany Pickup.
In addition to advising on that transaction, in what was the Manchester corporate team’s first full year in operation, the team also advised on the sale of Living Lens Enterprise to Medallia, which was shortlisted in the ‘Deal of the Year (£10m - £50m)’ category.
Peter Allen, partner and head of the NW corporate finance team at Browne Jacobson commented:
“It is fantastic to have been recognised for our role on this notable regional transaction. Not only was it a deal that linked to one of our strongest sectors – health and social care, allowing us to demonstrate our strength and depth of expertise within that area but it was also a deal very much made in the North West where we worked collaboratively with the MHA Moore and Smalley, Hill Dickinson and BGF teams to deliver a great result for all parties. We look forward to following the successful growth of the AWW business over the coming years.”
